• Joy started her legal career as a Law Clerk in Cook County Office of the Public Guardian in the summers of 1994 till 1995. Then she was an Assistant District Attorney in Milwaukee County from 1998 to 2005 and currently she is running her private law practice, called Joy Bertrand Esq. LLC which is focused on Federal Trial Work - Criminal Defense and Plaintiff side litigation
• She was also a Statewide Coordinator of Wisconsin Coalition Against the Death Penalty Fund in 1997-1998. In addition, she was also an Administrative Consultant for Blue Cross/Blue Shield United of Wisconsin in the summer of 1993, a Policy Analyst of State of Wisconsin Commissioner of Insurance in 1992-1993 and she co-authored with Steven Daniels and Mary Grossman in two publications that discuss Wisconsin Health Care Liability Plan litigation also
